The first thing that came to mind for today’s writing is the question of competency. My dilemma has always been studying versus doing. Some people are so confident they feign competence and seem to get by on all blunderbuss. Other people self-alienate, burying themselves in endless study, insecure about never knowing enough.
The truth probably lies somewhere in the middle. We need to study, systematically, but then apply our knowledge where the real learning begins.
