There has been massive change in the world already as an authoritarian movement has taken hold of the national and world zeitgeist. In ten years, this movement will have run its course and power will begin to shift again toward “the people.” The changes ahead will be even more dramatic but one thing will be clear in the aftermath, human beings will be at the center of an uprising empowered by technology, not displaced by artificial intelligence and robots.

In the interim, people will need counseling to help them bridge the divide, and A.I. might work as a therapist in certain solitary cases, but a machine cannot **SEE** another person empathetically or be **SEEN** for that matter, and this is the fundamental realization or coping mechanism necessary to overcome the paranoia and fear consuming so many individuals about a take over or coup d’ état of the lived experience.

As an astrologer, I imagine that the technicalities of what I do will also be automated. But the synthesis and counseling part, which is a uniquely personal approach will only grow in its demand and efficacy. The counseling part in particular is essential, so my plan is to be able to provide consultations as a therapist but to cut to the chase with clients using astrology, and at the same time explore deeper more meaningful relationships with clients in a way that single session therapy simply cannot do.

If I can become a therapist within the next few years, being able to charge a co-pay and bill a client’s health insurance will be an affordable advantage where presently many people cannot afford the fee for one session much less a year or two of sessions.

Ten years from now my practice will be full and my methodology replicated by other practitioners, either on their own or through courses I teach, to help them help others find meaning in a changing world.
