The “work” I do on reddit is already free of charge, which is in the spirit of the sharing economy. Six years ago I began answering posts on the astrologyreadings sub and have really never looked back. Many of the questions are banal or sophomoric but there are always interesting posts and conversations that offer teachable moments, as well as opportunities to learn.
I am not sure how long I will give away my work for free — but it’s been good for business because clients notice the quality of my analysis and request private consultations, which after all is the reason I’m there. So, the work is technically free but it might be fairer to say that it a loss leader to generating new business and attracting new clients.
