“They were afraid of your authentic love, because authentic love is beyond their control. You are possessed by it. You are not the possessor, you are the possessed. And every society wants you to be in control. The society is afraid of your wild nature, it is afraid of your naturalness, so from the very beginning it starts cutting your wings. And the most basic thing which is dangerous in you is the possibility of love, because if you are possessed by love you can go even against the whole world.”

Romantic is by definition anything not real, except of course love; when it is real LOVE is perhaps the truest expression of all experiences. But true love is lacking in the world. What we have instead is based on the vital, or lower vibrations of our emotional body.
I think we all operate under the veil of some illusion, trying to be something we’re not, a romantic version of ourselves if you like, that we think might make our lives better.
People run around like little A.I. simulators, spitting out all sorts of information at the speed of light, and in impressive quantities. A.I. can and does generate mind-blowing output, but there is something inauthentic about passing off unoriginal work as if it was one’s own creation.
My barber had a discussion with ChatGPT about his horoscope and was vexed by the answers to his prompts: What are the greatest challenges for my personality? What might get in my way? Please suggest a strategy to overcome these hurdles? His eyes were as wide as the scissors he held in his hand, ready to snip off the answer and put it in his pocket. To cutoff dialogue and not create it! We want answers. A.I. has them, but a good astrologer asks questions, and stimulates conversation.
What it means to be a romantic probably changes over time. I imagine in the not too distant future a real romantic will be synonymous with the person who is most authentic.
